Who We Are

The Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service (EBSIR) is the Service charged with the singular responsibility to assess, collect and account for all accruable revenue due to the state from individuals and non-incorporated bodies (institutions and organizations) as approved by relevant Federal and State laws.
The reconstituted Service was created, pursuant to Section 19(1) of the Finance (Amendment) Law of Ebonyi State.
The Ebonyi State Internal Revenue Service, as the major revenue generating Agency of the Government, has taken on the challenge of increasing the IGR of the State through the adoption and implementation of various pioneering strategies and policies which have impacted positively on revenue generation and collection.

EBSIRS is the Revenue Collecting Arm of Ebonyi State Government with the responsibility of collecting Taxes, Levies and other revenue items due to the State.

EBSIRS is charged with the power to collect all Revenue due to the State as such; operates responsibly, effectively, efficiently and transparently in revenue administration for the people of Ebonyi State.

How we do it...

EBSIRS gathers business intelligence all over the nooks and crannies of the State and as well offers corporate advisory services on Taxation. Also, EBSIRS represents the interest of Ebonyi State Government, especially in any legal litigation bordering on taxation or debt recovery.
